Erasmus funding

The Erasmus program is funded by the European Commission (via the Austrian National Agency for Lifelong Learning, OeAD).

The Erasmus+ mobility grant is a subsidy for increased living costs abroad and not a full scholarship. Information on the different grant amounts according to destination countries can be obtained from the International Office.

The Erasmus+ mobility grant can be awarded within the limits of the budget.

The mobility grant is only paid for the period of physical presence at the host institution .
 

Prerequisite for Erasmus funding

  • Approval from the partner university
  • Completeness of all documents
  • Learning Agreement (signed by the University of Art and Design, the host university and the student)

Funding for the use of sustainable means of transportation (e.g. train, bus, carpooling) further information
 

Inclusion support / Top up

Recipients of study grants

The Austrian study grant can be continued for the duration of the Erasmus+ study program / Erasmus+ internship if the student is generally fully admitted to study and take examinations in Austria.

After acceptance by the partner university, the student must apply for the foreign grant at the scholarship office .

Please note: Internships abroad are not funded!
 

Further funding opportunities

  • Students registered in Upper Austria as their main place of residence (for at least 1 year at the time of application) can also apply for the IPS scholar ship. The scholarship is only paid out for non-German-speaking countries.
