Interface Cultures “240313:Bit-Poems” is a collection of several poems and a possible visualization of each of them. These bit-poems are created by rules of poetry applied to bits.
The contemporary world demands a different way of perceiving the digital aesthetic. For this reason, this project aims to transfer a concept of the non-digital world to the digital world and observe the result. The starting point is something created by humans: poetry. One of the main goals of poetry is to communicate. The poetry form follows a series of rules and conditions. Communication, rules and conditions are the settings of a protocol in the digital world. Visualizing this protocol can create a better non-digital understanding of it. This allows us to explore and discover the result of the translation of such a concept. Exhibition at: IC at ars electronica 2013, Linz, Austria “240313: Bit-Poems” ist eine Sammlung von mehreren Gedichten und eine mögliche Visualisierung derselben. Diese Bit-Gedichte werden mittels der Regeln der Poesie gestaltet.
Die heutige Welt verlangt eine andere Art der Wahrnehmung digitaler Ästhetik. Aus diesem Grund zielt “240313: Bit-Poems” darauf ab, ein Konzept der nicht-digitalen Welt in die digitale Welt zu übertragen und das Resultat zu beobachten.
Der Ausgangspunkt ist etwas von Menschen Erschaffenes: die Poesie. Eines der wichtigsten Ziele der Poesie ist zu kommunizieren. Die Form der Poesie folgt einer Reihe von Regeln und Bedingungen. Die Kommunikation, die Regeln und Bedingungen sind Basis für die Grundeinstellungen eines Protokolls in der digitalen Welt. Die Visualisierung dieses Protokolls kann ein besseres nicht-digitales Verständnis davon schaffen. Dies erlaubt uns das Resultat der Übersetzung eines solche Konzepts zu erkunden und zu entdecken.
