Interface Cultures “If you can answer me who I am, then at least I will have an identity. I will know what or who to be.” By knocking on the house you interact with the ego inside of it. With this project we are exploring the basic understanding that humans have a free will. But this freedom of choice often leads to anxiety. In other words, because man is free and aware of possibilities, anxiety is part of his human experience. With the possibility of choices, the absolute responsibility for ones action comes. The fear of and anxiety caused by this responsibility, leads many people to ignore both, their freedom and their responsibility by letting other people make their choices for them. Exhibition at: IC at ars electronica 2011, Linz, Austria "Wenn Sie mir sagen, wer ich bin, dann werde ich wenigstens eine Identität haben. Ich werde wissen, was oder wer ich bin. "
Durch das Klopfen auf ein Holzhaus interagiert man mit dem Ego darin. Mit diesem Projekt erforschen wir das grundlegende Verständnis, dass der Mensch einen freien Willen hat. Aber diese Freiheit der Wahl führt oft zu Angst. In anderen Worten, weil der Mensch frei und sich seiner Möglichkeiten bewusst ist, ist die Angst Teil seiner menschlichen Erfahrung. Mit der Möglichkeit der Entscheidung geht die absolute Verantwortung für die jeweilige Aktion einher. Die Angst und Sorge, die durch diese Verantwortung ausgelöst wird, führt bei vielen Menschen dazu sowohl ihre Freiheit und ihre Verantwortung zu ignorieren. Sie überlassen es anderen Personen Entscheidungen für sie zu treffen.
