Room Ex-Post Musik, Domgasse 1, 4. OG, DO0454 You are cordially invited to the PhD-Colloquium in the summer term 2018! The PhD-Colloquium takes place once per term and represents an angle point of the PhD-Program at the art university Linz. It allows to get to know and regularly meet the doctoral candidates and to discuss ongoing PhD projects. All PhD-students have to present their PhD projects at least once at the PhD-Colloquium and get the opportunity to discuss their projects in a public forum with their colleagues. It is hence expected that all PhD-students of the art university Linz show their interest and take part in the event! Format: The PhD-Colloquium takes the form of a salon in the summer term 2018. This should allow for profound talks and discussions about all scientific and artistic aspects surrounding the PhD. The room Ex-Post-Musik is perfectly suited for this purpose. The format of the presentation itself can be freely chosen between a classic scientific conference talk (input and discussion) to artistic performances; e.g.: problematization of an aspect of the PhD-project, presentation of instruments / artefacts, screening of video-elements, presentation and discussion of artistic works etc. etc. Either the whole PhD-project can be presented or just an aspect of it, depending on the needs of the respective PhD-student entirely. Wir laden Sie und euch ganz herzlich zum PhD-Kolloquium im Sommersemester 2018 ein! Das PhD-Kolloquium findet einmal im Semester statt und stellt einen Knotenpunkt im PhD-Programm der Kunstuniversität Linz dar: Es bietet Gelegenheit, die teilweise örtlich und inhaltlich verstreuten DoktorandInnen kennenzulernen, zu treffen, über PhD-Projekte an der Kunstuniversität Linz zu diskutieren. Letztlich müssen alle DoktorandInnen zumindest einmal im PhD-Kolloquium präsentieren und bekommen die Gelegenheit, ihre Arbeit den Kolleginnen und Kollegen in einem öffentlichen Forum zu präsentieren. Es wird daher erwartet, dass alle PhD-Studierenden an der Veranstaltung teilnehmen! Format: Im Sommersemester 2018 hat das PhD-Kolloquium das Format eines Salons, es soll intensive Gespräche und Diskussionen über alle wissenschaftlichen und künstlerischen Aspekte rund um das PhD ermöglichen. Der Raum Ex-Post-Musik am Standort Domgasse ist dafür bestens geeignet. Das Format kann frei gewählt werden von einem wissenschaftlichen Konferenzvortrag (Vortrag und Diskussion) bis zu künstlerischen Performances; z.B.: Problematisierung eines Aspekts des PhD-Projekts, Vorstellung von Instrumenten / Artefakten, Screening von Video-Elementen, Präsentation und Diskussion von künstlerischen Arbeiten etc. etc. Es kann das gesamte PhD-Projekt oder auch nur ein Teilaspekt des Projekts präsentiert werden, je nachdem, wo Diskussion und Input von Außen am meisten benötigt wird.
