Master Interface Cultures Spaces Alive #abstract ist eine ortsspezifische performative Intervention im Rahmen von 0FFXN0FF, einer gemeinsamen Ausstellungs- und Konzertreihe von Memphis Art Space und Tresor Linz. Die Performance basiert auf dem Zusammenspiel von Medienkünstlern, Tänzern, Sound und dem Galerieraum. Sie problematisiert die vorausgesetzte Neutralität des „White Cube“ und kommentiert sowohl den modernistischen Mythos der Abstraktion als auch die „Perfektion“ einer ständig optimierten Technologie kritisch. Die Idee des Fehlers wird in die Subjektivierung der Technik durch bewegte Körper, ergänzt durch Webcams, übersetzt, die nun effektiv zu Schnittstellen werden. Eine in Echtzeit bearbeitete Videoebene ist in eine ikonische malerische Abstraktion integriert, die den Raum der Galerie bedeckt. Das Projekt ist Teil der Serie „Spaces Alive. Bukarest Surreal“, produziert von AVmotional Platform, konzipiert und präsentiert im Jahr 2017 an verschiedenen Orten in der Stadt Bukarest. The performance is based on the interaction between media artists, dancers, sound and the gallery space. It problematizes the presupposed neutrality of the “white cube,” while critically commenting on both the modernist myth of abstraction and the “perfection” of a perpetually optimized technology. The idea of error is translated into the subjectivization of technology through moving bodies augmented with webcams, now turned effectively into interfaces. A video layer, processed in real time is integrated into an iconic painterly abstraction, covering the space of the gallery. "Spaces Alive #abstract" is a site-specific performative intervention presented within the frame of 0FF8N0FF, a collaborative exhibition & concert series by Memphis Art Space and Tresor Linz, as part of Ars Electronica Festival'18 program.
