Master Interface Cultures Die Zukunft kann theoretisch alles sein was wir uns vorstellen können. Manche Zukunftsszenarien erscheinen zwar sehr viel wahrscheinlicher, aber viele andere – besser oder schlechter als unsere typische Zukunftsprojektion – sind möglich. Die Arbeiten die hier zu sehen sind, erkunden eine positivere, oder sogar die bestmögliche, Zukunft. Auf zwei Gedanken wird hier näher eingegangen: ein eutopisches Szenario in dem individuelles Vermögen und Besitz zum Gemeinwohl abgeschafft werden, und mögliche Klima-Zukunftsentwürfe die sich ganz auf die Gesundheit des Systems Erde richtet und menschliches Leben mit der „Natur“ vereinbart.
Kostüme, Gebrauchsobjekte, Installationen, Musik und Performance werden mithilfe von Prototypen und Gedankenexperimenten herangezogen um die Resultate vorhergehender Workshops, hands-on Gruppenexperimente und individuelle Kreationen als laufende Arbeit zu zeigen. Das Ergebnis wird im afo Linz im Rahmen des Ars Electronica Festival 2018 als Doppelausstellung mit Überschneidungen zu sehen sein. A multi disciplinary, performative, multi-media installation taking place in AFO Linz during ARS Electronica 2018. Through the Far-See-Er is an exploration of the far reaches of the socio-political imaginary - the eutopic (positive utopia) end of the Science Fiction spectrum.
Our collective future is re-imagined in a fun, dynamic way that includes the ideas of the audience and previous workshop participants of the project in a positive, evolving vision of the near-future where the 'shared' is pushed to its limit to include the whole earth and the implications of that.
Actors, singing, discussion, coffee. Climbing through the T.V., crawling on your knees, edging between walls; making suggestions, having arguments, engaging with constructive critique. Try out your ideas for how the world might work better. Sit and listen to improvised singing experiments. Talk to real people. Eat a eutopic snack in a eutopian cafe.
