Understanding the Value of Children: A Disruptive Discourse Analysis with ChatGPT

The term ´Value of children ´ was first used by Hoffman and Hoffman in 1973 and yet is found little topic of academic discussion in the field of cultural studies on the internet. This dissertation contributes to research into the digital transformation of the paradigm ´Value of children´ in the digital age. It uses a computer-mediated discourse analysis in ChatGPT & GPT-4 with ChatBox AI and ChatOn AI, to answer the research question ´What is the value of children?´ in new interdisciplinary contexts of communication studies. Referring to Watzlawick (1967) who wrote about the impossibility of not communicating, the results of the case study prove that what we don't communicate about doesn't exist. Keywords
