I Am Just Asking for Your Attention
(Ich bitte nur um Ihre Aufmerksamkeit) experimentiert mit Werbetechniken, um sich auf die kognitive Bombardierung und die damit verbundenen unterschätzten Folgen der Informationsüberlastung zu konzentrieren, der wir täglich ausgesetzt sind.
Die Aufmerksamkeit des Individuums, welches ständig von einem Übermaß an Reizen umworben, angezogen und abgelenkt wird, zwingt den Körper zu einer exzessiven und anhaltenden Steigerung des Erregungsgrades. Es stellt sich eine Art ständige Hypererregung ein, die eine Sucht nach kognitiver Überdosierung erzeugt. Die Subjekte konsumieren Waren, Dienstleistungen und Erfahrungen nicht unbedingt zum Vergnügen, um neue und aufregendere Reize auszuprobieren, sondern um den Schmerz zu vermeiden, ohne sie zu sein. Diese Neigung erzeugt im Konsumenten einen Angstzustand begründet in der Furcht vor einer Informationsisolation, eine Angst, die durch die Vorstellung, vom Informationsfluss losgelöst zu werden, erzeugt wird.
I Am Just Asking for Your Attention uses advertisement techniques to focus on the daily cognitive bombardment, and the underestimated consequences of information overload which individuals are subject to. The attention of the individual, constantly solicited, attracted and distracted by an excess of stimuli, forces the body to an excessive and prolonged increase in the level of arousal, or hyper-arousal, that generates addiction to cognitive overdose: the subjects consume goods, services and experiences not so much for the pleasure of trying new and more exciting stimuli, as to avoid the pain of being without them. Such propensity generates a state of anxiety due to the fear of an informative isolation in the consumer, a fear that is generated by the simplest idea of getting detached from information flow.
Olia Svetlanova wurde als Online-Präsenz im August 2017 in einem heißen italienischen digitalen Sommer aus einer CGI-Fotogrammetrie geboren, die sich in den Tiefen des Internets verlor. Seither hat sie unzählige Male ihr Aussehen und die Form ihres virtuellen Körpers verändert und durch den Einsatz von CGI ständig neue Erscheinungsformen produziert. Inspiriert von Science-Fiction Bildern, präsentiert sich Olia im Kontext der grenzenlosen Möglichkeit des Renderings immer wieder neu.
Olia Svetlanova was born as an online presence in August 2017 in a hot Italian digital summer from a CGI photogrammetry lost in the deepest fabric of the Internet. Since that day it has changed countless times the appearance and shape of its virtual body, continuously producing new ones through the use of CGI. Inspired by imagery from science fiction, Olia constantly reimagines itself in the context of a limitless opportunity to render.
