Rahmengröße: 150 x 200 cm Eine Stickmaschine, die denjenigen ähnelt, die in der Massenproduktion eingesetzt werden, wird hier als Kunstwerk präsentiert. Künstlerische Fragen zu Ergebnissen, Prozessen, Produktionsmitteln und -gründen treten in den Hintergrund, während Ideen und Absichten hinsichtlich des Einsatzes von Open-Source-Technologien durch Künstler*innen hervorgehoben werden. Alle Komponenten des Projekts, darunter Software und Systeme, gehen auf andere existierende Open-Source-Projekte zurück. Daher handelt es sich bei dieser Arbeit nicht um ein Produkt, dass allein auf der Kreativität des Künstlers beruht, sondern um ein Beispiel kollektiver Konstruktion. Die CNC Punching Needle Machine MK-1 träumt von kollektiver Evolution statt von individueller Aufklärung. Die CNC Punching Needle Machine MK-1 stanzt ein kleines Fadenstück in eine Leinwand und stickt Punkt für Punkt Texte oder Bilder.

Frame size: 150 × 200 cm An embroidery machine that resembles those used in mass production is presented here as an artwork. Artistic questions about results, processes, means of production and reasons recede into the background, while ideas and intentions of the use of open-source technologies by artists are emphasized. All components of the project, including software and systems, derive from other existing open-source projects. Therefore, this artwork is not a product of the creativity of the artist alone, but an example of collective construction. The CNC Punching Needle Machine dreams of collective evolution rather than individual enlightenment. The CNC Punching Needle Machine MK-1 punches a small piece of thread into a canvas and embroiders text or images point by point. Die Arbeit "CNC Punch Needle Machine MK-1" wurde im Rahmen der Ausstellung BestOFF 2021 gezeigt.
