KUNST IN, DURCH UND MIT DEN MEDIEN: Eine künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit der Intervention im Kontext der Massenmedien.

Hubert Lobnig Das Projekt, ein Forschungsvorhaben in den Feldern KUNST und SPORT widmet sich einer systemtheoretischen Untersuchung von KÜNSTLERISCHEN ARBEITEN, PATIZIPATIONEN UND INTERVENTIONEN IM ZEITGENÖSSISCHEN LEISTUNGSSPORT und untersucht ihre Wechselwirkung – künstlerisches Handeln und sportlichen Kontext - sowie ihre Auswirkungen auf System, Publikum und Betrachter. Angesiedelt am übergreifenden Lehrstuhl der Künstlerischen Praxis des Institut Kunst und Bildung. Künstlerisches Handeln, kategorienübergreifendes Denken und agieren sind idealer Nährboden für das interdisziplinär und fächerübergreifende Forschungsvorhaben. Dass die Künste besondere Potentiale haben, mit denen sie in verschiedenen gesellschaftlichen Kontexten intervenieren und dass sie dabei im besten Falle Veränderungen mit Bildungswirkung auf der individuellen wie der institutionellen Ebene auslösen können, wird immer wieder betont. Künstlerische Interventionen fokussieren sich auf die Autonomie der Künste, weil sie sich nicht anpassen an gängige Vorgehensweisen und Konventionen. Ziel aus meiner künstlerischen Arbeit heraus ist es, Verfahren aus der eigenen künstlerischen Arbeit zu entwickeln, die Raum für Ideen lassen, ohne die eigene künstlerische Autonomie aufzugeben. Kulturelle Bildung also konsequent von Kunst aus zu denken und zugleich Interesse an und Verständnis für die Logik anderer, kunstferner Systeme und Lebenswelten zu entwickeln, ist ein Beitrag dafür, Kunst über Kunst hinaus wirksam zu machen. Dabei spielt die sportwissenschaftliche Betrachtung eine essenzielle Rolle, die Historische Reflexion von Bewegung und Sport hilft zu verstehen, wann und wo und unter welchen Bedingungen sich künstlerische Formen, Partizipationen und Interventionen entwickelten und entwickeln. Sporthistorische Forschung beleuchtet ihr künstlerisches Handeln im Sport. Sie vermittelt ein Verständnis gesellschaftlicher Ziele sowie der sozialen und ökonomischen Bedingungen, die Sport, Spiel, Bewegungskulturen und Körperlichkeit beeinflussten und weiterhin beeinflussen. Das interdisziplinäre Forschungsvorhaben forciert eine Thematisierung in Ausstellungen und Museen sowie massenmedialer Darstellungen. The project, a research investigationin the fields of ART and SPORT, is dedicated to a systemic investigation of ARTISTIC WORKS, PARTICIPATION, AND INTERVENTIONS IN CONTEMPORARY COMPETITIVE SPORT and examines their interplay - artistic action and sporting context - as well as their effects on the system, audience, and viewer. Located at the overarching Chair of Artistic Practice at the Institute of Art and Education, artistic action, cross-category thinking, and acting are the ideal breeding ground for this interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research project. The fact that the arts have special potentials with which they can intervene in various societal contexts and that they can trigger changes with educational impact on both the individual and institutional levels in the best case is repeatedly emphasized. Artistic interventions focus on the autonomy of the arts because they do not adapt to common practices and conventions. The goal of my artistic work is to develop procedures from my own artistic work that leave room for ideas without giving up my own artistic autonomy. Therefore, thinking about cultural education consistently from art and at the same time developing interest in and understanding of the logic of other, art-remote systems and lifeworlds is a contribution to making art effective beyond art. In this context, the sport-scientific perspective plays an essential role. The historical reflection of movement and sport helps to understand when and where and under what conditions artistic forms, participations, and interventions developed and continue to develop. Sports historical research sheds light on their artistic action in sports. It conveys an understanding of societal goals as well as the social and economic conditions that influenced and continue to influence sports, play, movement cultures, and physicality. The interdisciplinary research project promotes a thematization in exhibitions and museums as well as mass media representations. Kurz-Biographie / Short Bio
Martin Höfer ist Künstler und ein Vertreter der gegenwärtigen Konzept- und Medienkunst. Derzeit forscht er am Institut für Kunst und Bildung der Universität für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung in Linz und ist PhD candidate am Lehrstuhl für Künstlerische Praxis bei Hubert Lobnig. Im Jahr 2019 war er künstlerischer Leiter der ANHYDRITE — Biennale of Media Art. 2013 schloss er sein Studium mit dem Diplom der Bildenden Kunst mit Sehr Gut und Auszeichnung ab. Im Jahr 2005 begann er an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig zunächst bei Christin Lahr und ab 2007 bei Günther Selichar das Studium der Medienkunst. In den darauf folgenden Jahren hatte er verschiedene Gastaufenthalte bei Lei Cox und Steven Dixon an der Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen in Norwegen, bei Hashem El-Ayoubi an der Helwan University Cairo, Ägypten, bei Ramiz Sabbagh an der AlBalqa Applied University Amman, Jordanien, sowie bei Henrik B. Andersen an der Vilniaus dailės akademija, Litauen.  Martin Höfer is an artist and representative of contemporary conceptual and media art. Currently, he is conducting research at the Institute of Art and Education at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz and is a PhD candidate at the Chair of Artistic Practice under Hubert Lobnig. In 2019, he was the artistic director of ANHYDRITE — Biennale of Media Art. In 2013, he graduated with a diploma in Fine Arts with distinction. In 2005, he began studying Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig, initially under Christin Lahr and from 2007 under Günther Selichar. In the following years, he had various stays as a guest at Lei Cox and Steven Dixon at the Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen in Norway, at Hashem El-Ayoubi at Helwan University Cairo, Egypt, at Ramiz Sabbagh at AlBalqa Applied University Amman, Jordan, and at Henrik B.
